Our Toyota 4Runner and Tacoma Apple CarPlay Upgrade Modules are fully compatible with your factory XM box, even though we show how to remove the box in our videos.
If you have just installed your new upgrade module, all you need to do before putting you unit back in the car is place your XM module below your new Hamilton 2014-2019 Toyota Tacoma Apple CarPlay Upgrade Module and re-conenct that six-way harness.
Your XM module will have plenty of room to install below the Hamilton module. We reccomend adding tape between the brackets to secure it but it will not move around once in the car. Reference the attached picture (from a 4Runner--very similar to Tacoma) or call us with questions.
