If you've completed the installation on your 4Runner Upgrade kit and find that your steering controls aren't working. You may have missed an additional connection.
The small connector in Picture 1 should be connected to the screen as shown in Picture 2. As shown below.

This will resolve the issue for you.
I am current getting mine installed at a stereo store and the installer said he looked at the video and my head unit is missing a red translucent box that controls the backup camera/steering wheel controls. I brought them the entire box that was shipped and I hadn't seen that piece in there. Is this the case or is there a connection he is missing?
