How to swipe to next “page” of apps

  Saw the videos. Installed today. Playing around with CarPlay. Functionally everything seems to be working well. 
  
  

  The thing I cannot figure out is how to "swipe" to the next page of apps. I got it to swipe once by pressing and swiping the screen, but that doesn't work consistently. 
  
  

  what am I missing?

  I just installed on an older 10 through 13 GX. Swiping doesn't work.

  I found it easiest  to go to accessibility options and say "swipe left "or "swipe right " 

  this method actually works pretty good
