@Jason Makepeace Figured it out. pressing the Mode button on the steering wheel and scrolling until I got to the AUX mode and it switch back to the carplay screen.
The only issue I think I still have is that the screen goes black when I put lexus in reverse. I called HMC and they said they will be emailing instructions to fix. I will post once issue is solved.
HMC sent me a code to access advanced setting/settitngs on new unit's setting page. to change camera setting. Now it works.
Hey Jason, a long hold (3 seconds) of the voice hangup button on your steering wheel or voice speech button (depending on your trim version) will switch between new and old screens. The menu long hold is only on the 12-15 version RX (and many other Lexus models also).
