Bluetooth Connection issue

  • This document is for you if your 4Runner Apple CarPlay conversion kit requires
you to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth every time you start the car to
    successfully use CarPlay.

    • Open Apps Drawer > Click Settings App.

    • Click Network from the left-side menu. Connect your head unit to Wifi. (We recommend connecting to your home Wifi in your garage. Only use a Phone Hotspot if it is very stable. You will be downloading a big file.)
    • Exit the Network menu. On the left-side menu in settings scroll to “About.”

    • Scroll to the bottom of the “About” menu. Select “Detection Update.”

    • Click System Upgrade “Detection Update.” Do not update MCU.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to download the update, install the update, and then click restart to restart the radio. CarPlay should now function flawlessly when opening TLink. We can show you how to set TLink to automatically open on startup.

  • Seems to have taken care of my issue.  Thanks for posting the solution!!!
