Lexus GX - Echo on the Microphone


  • If your microphone is not working well through the new Hamilton Bluetooth
    network, we are going to quickly reconfigure your unit to use your Lexus/Toyota OEM
    Bluetooth channel. Please follow the below steps. You can reach us at (919) 858-2890

    1) In your new unit return to the Hamilton home page. If in CarPlay, click “Car
    Home.”

    2) On the Hamilton home page, select “Setup”

    3) Click “System”

    4) Toggle “Use Car’s BT Channel” to “On” and allow the unit to reboot

    5) If you ever turned off your factory Bluetooth, switch back to your factory interface
    (long hold voice speech button or menu button depending on the model of
    Lexus/Toyota) and turn factory Bluetooth back “On”. Pair your phone with your
    factory Bluetooth and the Hamilton system simultaneously.

     

    6) No longer will you play music/ make phone calls on Aux mode. You will now
    operate with your car audio set to the original “Bluetooth” mode.

     

    7) When you make calls/play music make sure your phone is set to your original
    factory Bluetooth name. Don’t change the name of either Bluetooth network. See
    examples below on demo 4Runner. Our software on the 4Runner interface is the same
    as GX, LX, LC, and more.
